KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have arrested three individuals including one company director for allegedly submitting claims containing false details to a corporation.

The graftbusters said that the document had contained false details claiming for a training course amounting to approximately RM14,000 despite it not being conducted.

According to MACC sources, the three male suspects aged between 30 and 40 were believed to have been arrested yesterday at approximately 7pm at the Kuala Lumpur MACC office.

The graftbusters said that they were arrested after being asked to appear and provide their statements with regards to the claims which had been made between October and December 2022.

Kuala Lumpur MACC director Mohamad Fauzi Husin when contacted confirmed the arrest and the investigation is being conducted under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.

Fauzi however added that the three suspects were not remanded but were released on MACC bail yesterday.
