KUALA LUMPUR: Police have submitted to the Interpol the required documents to activate the Red Notice request for Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan, the son-in-law of former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigations Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the documents were received from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today.

"We (police) have received the documents at 3pm today.

"They were then forwarded to the Interpol for the next course of action," he told the media today.

It was reported recently that the MACC was in the process of finalising several documents to complete a Red Notice application for two individuals, including the son-in-law of a former prime minister.

Its chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said among the documents being finalised were the drafts on the charges of the relevant case.

In August, MACC said that it was tracking down two men to assist in its investigation of the corruption and embezzlement case in the registration, recruitment and biometric storage of foreign workers in a ministry.

The commission said an attempt to reach out to the two men, Muhammad Adlan and a lawyer Mansoor Saat through their lawyers had also failed, with both refusing to cooperate.

Muhammad Adlan last know address was Lot 65, Sunway Kiara Hills, Jalan 32/70A Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur, while for Mansoor, 69, last address was at 5 Jalan SS19/1C Subang Jaya, Selangor.
